Summary

A Web browser is application software that displays Web pages. It allows you to link with other Web pages, and download software. It may also additional Internet functions such as email and FTP. Web browsers use a GUI. You can obtain one from your online service, ISP, local computer store, or you can download one from the World Wide Web.

Like most Windows-based programs, your Web browser will contain a title bar, menu bar, toolbars, location line, scroll bars, activity indicator, scroll bars, a Web page window, and a status bar.

To go to a Web page, type the domain name in the location line. You can then follow any additional links displayed in the current Web page. You can set a bookmark that will allow you to access the current Web page at a future date.
